Dynamometers for EV & Traction Motors

Dynos for Automotive Motors & Power Steering

MOTOMEA Automotive laboratory systems include the capabilities for testing electrical power steering, including ePRCB with their hardware. The systems are used for NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) tests, using tri-axis force & vibration sensors; Dynamic tests, using two-side loading with very high accuracy speed & torque sensors; and Friction tests. Regenerative Dynamometer Systems – RDS

The MOTOMEA RDS are full turnkey systems, which fully implement standards IEC 60034-2-1, CSA_C390, IS 12615, and IEEE 112. The scope of the RDS is comprised of: AC induction servomotors as loading motors with high-resolution encoders, high-accuracy torque sensors, integrated power analyzers, and temperature measurement modules by milliohm meters and/or thermocouples. MOTOMEA RDS provides energy recovery benefits, and the multi-drive common bus configurations can reduce input power requirements for applications where an AC dynamometer is used for the prime mover and absorber.

Gear/Gearbox Tester

MOTOMEA gear testing capabilities offer you an accurate and reliable “Gear Testing method” where you as a user can test the gear in a dynamic way, during gear acceleration period, and in a static way, by using two loading units with very accurate speed and torque sensors at the two gear sides

Powertrain Dynamometer

The MOTOMEA Electric Powertrain Dynamometer is part of a fully integrated modular system with hardware-in-the-loop testing. System capabilities include drive cycle and virtual test driving. Powertrain testing capabilities also include battery testing and simulation using bidirectional DC power supply.
